Terms of Service
Effective August 29, 2026. Last updated August 29, 2026.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of OopsBounty at https://oopsbounty.com (the "Service"), including software listings, the public leaderboard, private submissions, checkout, platform credits, and related features. By using the Service, purchasing a listing plan, testing a listing, or completing a payment, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service and do not pay for a listing. By completing checkout you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms.
Operator and contact
The Service is operated by OopsBounty ("we", "us", "our"). Legal and listing notices: legal@oopsbounty.com. Privacy questions: privacy@oopsbounty.com.
These Terms work together with the public Listing Rules. If the Rules and these Terms conflict, these Terms control.
What the Service is
OopsBounty is software-as-a-service for listing software for community testing. Clients purchase listing plans to publish a listing on the ranked board. A listing plan buys digital placement on the board, not testers, not traffic, not reports. Plans include platform credits that founders may grant to users who submit helpful reports. Listings are paid placements and testing opportunities, not editorial reviews, certifications, security audits, endorsements, or guarantees of quality.
A listing plan buys digital access to publish on OopsBounty and the credit allotment included with that plan. Founders may grant credits when they approve a helpful report. It does not buy traffic, clicks, customers, revenue, a fixed rank forever, search-engine ranking, approved submissions, or any particular security outcome. Higher plans may rank higher on the board, but someone else can purchase a higher plan and outrank you. Founders decide whether to approve reports and whether to grant credits.
We may change, pause, or discontinue features, including categories, ranking formulas, plan tiers, and credit rules.
Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- If you use the Service for a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company, and "you" includes that company.
- You may not use the Service if you are prohibited from receiving services under applicable law, including trade sanctions.
- Testers must test only within the scope shown on a listing and must follow applicable computer-access and security-research laws.
Payments, Dodo Payments, and taxes
Checkout is processed by Dodo Payments. We do not collect or store full payment-card numbers. Dodo Payments' terms and privacy notice also apply to the payment itself. Amounts are priced in US dollars unless shown otherwise at checkout. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.
Listing plan prices, credit allotments, and rank pricing are shown before you pay. Completing checkout is an offer to buy listing access and the platform credit allotment included with that plan on those terms. Your listing is created or updated when payment is confirmed.
Listing credits and promotional grants
Listing credits are closed-loop promotional units included with listing plans. They apply only to OopsBounty listing fees. They are not cash, bank balances, stored value, or e-money. Founders grant credits to testers only by approving a helpful submission. OopsBounty does not guarantee that any founder will approve a report or grant credits.
Credits are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash through OopsBounty. At launch, credits may be applied only toward future OopsBounty listing fees on your account. We may add other closed-loop redemption options later; any such option will be subject to separate terms shown in the product.
Granting a credit is a promotional thank-you for helpful feedback. It is not wages, employment compensation, or payment for labour. Testers participate voluntarily and should not treat credits as guaranteed income.
No refunds
All payments are final and not refundable. Listing access and the credit allotment included with your plan are a digital service that begins as soon as payment is confirmed: the listing is created or updated, and the paid amount is applied to your listing on the board.
Being outranked later, receiving fewer reports than you hoped for, founder rejection of submissions, unused or ungranted credits, downtime, a category you dislike, or later removal for breach of these Terms does not create a refund.
By completing checkout you request that we start this digital service immediately and acknowledge that you lose any statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off period to the extent that law allows that waiver. Where a mandatory consumer right cannot be waived, we honor that right. Chargebacks, payment disputes, or reversed payments without a legally required basis are a breach of these Terms; we may remove the listing and refuse future use of the Service.
Listings must be authorized and accurate
You may only list software you own or are authorized to test. The live site must be accessible and must not misrepresent who operates it. You must define a scope testers are allowed to test. Missing authorization, fake details, impersonation, or scopes that invite illegal access are grounds for removal without refund.
Your warranties
By submitting a URL, listing, payment, or report, you represent and warrant that:
- You have the right to list or test that destination.
- Your listing, destination, and testing activity comply with applicable laws, including advertising, consumer, privacy, and intellectual-property rules.
- You are not impersonating another person, brand, or company.
- The destination is not malware, phishing, a scam, or primarily intended to deceive visitors.
- The information you submit is accurate, and you will keep it accurate.
Prohibited listings and use
In addition to the Listing Rules, you may not list or use the Service for:
- Sexual, pornographic, or adult-platform content; chat or messaging-group links used as the primary destination; or link shorteners used to hide the real destination.
- Content that is illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, hateful, violent, or that exploits children.
- Counterfeit goods, unauthorized streaming, or other infringement of copyright, trademark, or other rights.
- Testing or attacks outside the listed scope, data theft, service disruption, or exploitation beyond what the listing allows.
- Interfering with the Service: scraping beyond ordinary browsing, manipulating counts, bypassing rate limits, automated listing claims without our written permission, or reverse engineering except as allowed by mandatory law.
Our right to remove listings
We may refuse, delay, edit, recategorize, hide, or permanently remove any listing, rank, submission access, or related page, with or without notice, including where we believe these Terms, the Rules, or the law may have been broken; where a rights holder complains; where authorization or scope is unclear; or where we think the listing creates legal, security, or reputational risk. Removal does not entitle you to a refund.
Fair use and third-party content
To run the Service we fetch and display publicly available information about listed destinations: names, titles, descriptions, logos, favicons, and Open Graph images. We use that material only to identify the listed product on OopsBounty, to show visitors where a listing leads, and to operate, moderate, and improve the Service.
Where fair-use or nominative-use principles apply, that display is intended to identify the destination, not to suggest sponsorship or endorsement by the rights holder unless the lister is that rights holder. OopsBounty, our wordmark, and the look of the Service are ours. Dodo Payments and other third-party names remain their owners' property.
License you grant us
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, cache, reproduce, adapt (for sizing, formatting, and display), and publicly display your listing and the public metadata we fetch, for as long as needed to operate and promote the Service. Private submission content stays private to the listing owner unless you choose to share it elsewhere. If you want a listing taken down, email legal@oopsbounty.com. Takedown does not undo a completed payment.
Complaints and rights notices
If you believe a listing infringes your copyright, trademark, publicity, or other rights, email legal@oopsbounty.com with: (1) your name and contact details; (2) the listing URL on OopsBounty; (3) the destination URL; (4) a description of the problem; and (5) a statement that the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act. We may remove or restrict the listing while we review the notice.
No endorsement, no earnings claims
Appearance on the board is not our opinion of a product or its security. We do not verify that listed companies, claims, prices, or results are true. Rank, visitor counts, and plan tiers describe what the platform shows or records; they are not a promise that you will get the same outcome. Your results depend on your listing, scope, plan, timing, and factors we do not control.
Availability and changes
We provide the Service as-is. It may be unavailable, slow, or incorrect. We may change ranking rules, minimums, categories, credit rules, or these Terms. If a change is material, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms. For a payment already completed, the Terms in effect at checkout still apply to that payment, except where a change is required by law or needed to address a security or legal risk.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, or that listings, ranks, submissions, or counts are accurate or complete. We are not a security auditor and do not guarantee that any vulnerability will be found or fixed.
Limitation of liability
We do not limit liability that applicable law says we cannot limit. Subject to that, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, substitute services, or other indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for a claim relating to a payment is limited to the amount you paid us for the listing that the claim concerns in the three months before the claim.
Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless OopsBounty and people working on the Service from claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising out of your listing, your destination site, your testing activity, your payment or chargeback, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of someone else's rights.
General
If a part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a transfer of the Service. These Terms, the Listing Rules, the Privacy Policy, and the checkout details you confirm form the entire agreement for the Service. Payments, hosting, and analytics involve third parties, including Dodo Payments. Their outages or decisions are outside our control.
